"First of all, make up your mind to succeed, for that is one of the best elements of success in everything; and second, expect plenty of difficulties and discouragements, for you will be sure to meet with them. It is not easy to become great in anything, and archery forms no exception to the rule. Do not go hunting for a royal road to the bull's eye - none such exists - you must work hard and practise regularly before even moderate success will reward your efforts. Use your brains as well as your muscles - study as well as practice. Brute force alone will never make an archer. Above all, do not fancy yourself a first-rate shot, when you are only a muff - nothing will so much tend to keep you one all your days as this. A mistaken vanity is the very bane of all improvement." Horace Ford-1856 (World's Best Archer at that time) I feel that those words of Horace Ford says it all.. This is directed more to the Juniors who feel that it is boring because they do not get to s

Sorry for the late post archers: There is some confusion for Tuesdays Training . Every Tuesday there will be training. Rain or Shine , training goes on . Venue: Block 50 Field (same field that you guys have been meeting) Time: 5.30pm sharp. Note: Attendance will be taken and for those who are serious about going competitive, if your attendance falls below 80% you will not be allowed to take part in any competitions. If any of you cannot make it, be responsible and inform in advance to Shawn or Grace. I do not wish to see last minute; people coming up and say oh i cannot make it.. No last minute... Last thing I want to hear is juniors being disrespectful to the seniors. If you're late, just admit you're late.

Hi fellow archers, As you know, the people that used to lead the club are in their Year3s; Silie, Benjamin, JiaLin. New Blood will need to take over the club soon in a year's time. I hope everyone can stay together and keep the club going and give respect to those who will be leading you in the future. Shawn and Grace will be organizing the coming camp. If you feel that you have a talent at games or maybe leading everyone at games, do feel free to volunteer yourself out and be part of the team. I will be emphasizing on this : All Seniors will be involved with the camp one way or another . I hope to see more people in the club taking initiative . It can be simple things, for example when you go to shoot at the field early, and you do not see target sheets or shooting line being put up, you can ask a friend to follow you down to take the items. These are small things that go a long way =) After the camp, we have the planning of the POLITE to handle, lets stay strong together and bri

Hi everyone! As you might already know, POL-ITE will be organized by NPAA this year, and will be held some time in Oct. To ensure things run smoothly, we should start planning early and therefore, an organizing committee will be formed for this event. The people involved in organizing POL-ITE will not necessarily be the current EXCO members. Things like competing distances, placing of winners to award, judges to hire blah blah blah will be decided by the organizing committee. Further notice will be given latest by next week. I would expect everyone to come together to put your best in this event as it is an opportunity for us to grow as a club. This will also test how well we work as a team. It is a breakthrough for us as it is the first time we are actually in charge of a big scale event. Communication is imperative so I hope everyone can be professional about it and put our differences aside to complete this at the best of our abilities. I believe that as competitive archers, you g
