Some Updates

We are nearing the end of the semester.
Be prepared to be bombarded with assignments/tests/projects in the coming weeks.
Manage your time efficiently so you can attend trainings.
Most importantly, keep yourself healthy (both physically and mentally). If you need any help, feel free to ask for help from one another.

Training Diary
Studies aside, let's talk about training. This is more for the juniors.
Over the past few weeks, you've been doing bow trainings with us and the Coaches have been giving feedback on your form. You may feel that there can be a lot of things to focus on for form when doing bow training and this is normal in Archery.
In our club, we do a form of reflection/journalism called 'training diary'. This is common in sports.
Training diaries are for coaches to understand what you feel during trainings. This is more for face-to-face trainings, but it is good for you guys to know about this now. More on trainings diaries will be shared in the future.
For now, start doing personal journals, it can be on your phone or in a notebook. For every session, take note of what coach says about your form. Eg. Turn bow arm, keep shoulders down, anchor position move closer to ear, grip position.
Through this, you can track your progress and also remind yourself on the things to focus on for subsequent trainings.

Trying out Wooden Bow at Coach Range
Same rules apply,
- Only 3 juniors to come down to coach range at each time
- Seniors must be present so do plan your timings with your seniors
- Go on weekdays as Coach is busy on weekends
Equipment fee of $12 has to be made to shoot the wooden bow for an hour. If the range is not busy/full, you are allowed to continue shooting for more than one hour without having to pay additional fees.
