I know i should have done this a long time ago.

I am going to post up the guidelines of a mentor. If my memory serves me right, this is the first time we are seriously going to have this system because the last year and the previous years we had a coach.

Mentor:
  1. A mentor will have 3~4 Juniors attached to him/her.
  2. The mentor will be solely responsible for this archer's form/equipment.
  3. It is the mentor's responsibility to go ask/search if he/she does not know the right way shooting is done.
  4. The mentor has to be fair and equal at all times (cannot show favoritism)
  5. It is encouraged that mentors to give instructions to juniors to train at home or when they are free. This includes Tuesdays (before 5pm as PT starts after 5pm) & Thursdays.
  6. It is also encouraged that mentors teach their allocated juniors only, please curb the urge to teach another junior who is not allocated to you . This is to prevent confusion of instructions .
  7. Lastly, please do not teach something foreign. Please stick closely to the 9 steps or 12 steps for KSL.

Juniors:
  • If you find that your mentor is not giving clear instructions, please ask him/her.
  • You have your rights, if you feel that your mentor is showing favoritism , please let him/her know and clarify.
  • If you are lost and do not know what to do, it is your duty to let your mentor know so that he/she can help you. Your mentor will not know how you are feeling if you do not let them know.
  • You want to shoot well, you need to train hard. Come for training as regular as possible.
  • If you can't make it for training, please let vice captains or your mentor know.

That's all for now. Seniors ; do let me know if i missed anything or is there anything you might want to add to this list.

Cheers (:

Happy Mentoring and junioring ..
